Maltolis a white crystalline powder smells like caramelized sugar and cotton candy. Its diluted solution has the aroma of strawberry. 
1g of Maltol dissolves in 80ml of water; 21ml of Ethanol; 80ml of Glycerin and 28ml of Propylene Glycol.

Application
Maltol is a flavor enhancer extensively used in food, beverage, tobacco, brewery, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals industries.  When combined  with other substances, Maltol will increase and sustain their sweetness and fragrance. It is also used to formulated additives for food, cigarettes and cosmetics.
