Description: a volatile oil, is a yellow to reddish brown clear liquid

Aroma: spicy and warm sweet aroma of Chinese cinnamon

Properties: Cinnamon oil will gradually oxidize to a thick dark brown liquid after time or exposure to air. First it's sweet, then it's spicy.

Solubility: soluble in ethanol, glacial acetic acid, insoluble in glycerin and mineral oil.

Main ingredients: cinnamaldehyde (98.2 percent), followed by α -hydrocainene, 1, 8-cineole, p-cymene, camphor, linalool, β -caryophylene, α -ylenene, α -terpinol, geraniol, methyl cinnamate, ethyl cinnamate, eugenol, cinnamol, etc.

Usage: it can be used for preparing tobacco, beverage, wine and toothpaste essence. It can also be used in some soaps and aromatherapy essence. Cinnamaldehyde can be isolated from oil and further synthesized cinnamol and cinnamate esters.
