Color: reddish brown to green brown slightly viscous liquid.

Odor: persistent woody and paste aromas, with some hay, spicy and loam aromas, with camphor smell, but should not be scorched. The aroma is strong and persistent. The aroma of head, body and tail does not change much throughout. Newly made patchouli oil may have what is known as a distilled and burnt smell, which improves over time and gives it a richer aroma.

Applications:

Edible spices permitted by GB 2760-96. Mainly used for cola-type drinks and other food spices, mainly used for cola-type drinks and other food. Usage in chewing gum 43~220mg/kg; Baked goods in 10mg/kg; Candy in 6.3 mg/kg; Cold drinks in 1.1 mg/kg; 0.88mg/kg in soft drinks.
