Carthamus(Safflower)Yellow is a natural food pigment. Carthamins yellow is a water soluble yellow colorant extracted from safflower, the dry flower of Carthamus tinctorius L., by extraction, filtration, concentration, purification, sterilization and spray drying. The main component of carthamins yellow is hydroxysafflor A (HYSA). It is stable to light at pH 5-7. Carthamins yellow is used as food colorant in beverage, candy, wine, juice, jelly, ice cream etc.

When use Carthamus Yellow, dissolve the color with a small amount of water first, and then mix the color solution with food materials. |
